Biological nitrogen fixation by leguminous crops

In nature, biological nitrogen fixation (BFA) provides most of the reactive nitrogen, which is essential for proteins and plant growth. In view of the fact that legumes fix nitrogen in the soil, understanding the BFA process is the basis for decision-making in legume cultivation.
