Urban forests as nature-based solutions - an European perspective

This presentation was presented during the final conference for the UrbForDan Interreg Project. It introduced the concept of urban forests as nature-based solutions (UF-NBS), focussing on public health and climate change as key problems where UF can provide solutions too.
He also introduced some flagship initiatives in Europe: the Green4Care project (ERASMUS+), the CLEARING HOUSE project (H2020), the Uforest project (ERASMUS+) and the European Forum on Urban Forestry (EFUF).
Finally, Rik introduced the European policy framework (EU Green Deal, 2030 Biodiversity Strategy, 2030 Forestry Strategy) and the Green City Accord and the New Bauhaus Initiative.
