<p>The choice of variety is one of the most important decisions made when growing soybeans. Choosing the right variety creates the conditions for high added value through high (and reliable) yields of grain of adequate quality. Attention to the specific quality attributes of a variety can attract high prices in specialised markets. Other attributes of the variety, can help reduce production costs. European farmers have a wide range of soybean varieties to choose from. The optimum choice depends primarily on the latitude, local growing conditions and the intended market or use of the soybean.</p>
