Mechanische Unkrautregulierung bei Erbsen

Auf dem Markt werden immer weniger Herbizide zugelassen und Resistenzen bringen Pflanzenschutzmittel an ihre Grenzen. Daher befassen sich zunehmend mehr konventionelle Landwirte mit Alternativen. Die mechanische Unkrautregulierung mit Striegel und Hacke ist in der ökologischen Landwirtschaft ein bewährtes Vorgehen. Erbsen sind wegen ihrer langsamen Jugendentwicklung konkurrenzschwach gegenüber Unkräutern und Ungräsern. Daher ist der richtige Einsatz des Striegels und der Hacke unerlässlich, wenn auf Herbizide verzichtet wird.
Fewer and fewer herbicides are being approved on the market and resistance is pushing crop protection products to their limits. As a result, more and more conventional farmers are looking at alternatives. Mechanical weed control with a harrow and hoe is a proven procedure in organic farming. Due to their slow youth development, peas are not competitive with weeds and weed grasses. The correct use of the harrow and the hoe is therefore essential if herbicides are not used.
