The Eastern African Journal of Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism (EAJHLT) is a peer-reviewed, international, multidisciplinary, open access journal, aiming to promote and enhance research in all fields of sustainable hospitality, leisure, and tourism. It publishes double-blind reviewed papers and encourages an interchange between tourism and hospitality researchers, educators, and managers.
Editors of EAJHLT strongly promote research integrity and aim to prevent any type of scientific misconduct, such as: fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, redundant publication, and authorship problems.
The Journal is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and quality of articles. Nurturing a scientifically based approach to research, the journal publishes original papers along with empirical research and theoretical articles that contribute to the conceptual development of hospitality, leisure, and tourism management. Editors look particularly for articles about new trends, challenges, and developments, as well as the application of new ideas that are likely to affect these industries. The general criteria for the acceptance of articles are; contribution to the scientific knowledge in the field of tourism and hospitality management, scientifically reliable research methodology, relevant literature review and quality of the English language.
The Journal is primarily aimed at publishing original research papers as well as reviews. Teaching and learning case studies and books reviews will also be published. The editors reserve the right to return improperly formatted manuscripts to the authors, without peer review. Accepted manuscripts are subject to strict blind peer review by its editorial board or by other anonymous international reviewers.
The journal has been published regularly since 2012, twice a year (in June and December) in English language. It is published by the Faculty of Business and Economics at St. Augustine University of Tanzania, Mwanza – Tanzania.
