HYDRA aims to develop next-generation Li-ion cells for electric vehicles. The project targets the following key performance indicators by the end of the project:

  • Cell-level energy density of > 750 Wh/L
  • Costs of < 90 €/kWh at pack level, nominal rate 3-5 C fast charging and 10-15 C fast discharging
  • 2000 deep cycles (with 10 % fast charging) to 80 % residual capacity
  • TRL 6 – Prototype tested in intended environment close to expected performance

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under GA No. 875527.
