History of the Journals & IEREK’s Conferences
IEREK GmbH was established in late 2013, with the vision of interconnecting scholars and researchers around the globe, and enriching the field of knowledge dissemination and research through international conference organization. Aiming to empower researchers and scholars even further, IEREK established its IEREK press subsidiary in 2016, hosting a comprehensive array of journals that discuss topics relating to humanities, architecture, engineering, and environmental science. The journals first introduced conference proceedings publications through ARChive & Resourceedings, and grew to publish standalone papers through ESSD, and aspires to empower researchers in the MENA region through establishing the BAHETH journal.
Open Access & Ethics
Putting the reader first, IEREK Press prides itself in hosting all of its journals in open access, promoting the accessibility of peer-reviewed research & academic literature to all. We strongly believe that knowledge should be made available to all those who seek it, regardless of economic status or financial standing, promoting elements of insightfulness & inquisitiveness through the general public. IEREK press upholds a high moral standard towards its journals by adhering to a strict code of ethics, ensuring the papers published contain unique, accurate, and genuinely informative content, while fully disclosing any conflicts of interest that may occur.
Editorial Board & Peer Review
As a subsidiary to IEREK GmbH, IEREK Press attains a diverse, and competent editorial board. Through strong partnerships with international universities and academic establishments, IEREK press’s editorial board is more than capable to review and evaluate academic literature from a multitude of scientific and humanitarian fields, providing invaluable evaluation efforts to authors, and ensuring a high standard of quality for peer-reviewed papers submitted to our journals.
General Scope Overview
Currently, 4 journals are hosted on IEREK Press, which are all published bi-annually, alongside special issues. The Environmental Science and Sustainable Development (ESSD) journal tackles topics that concern the continuation and preservation of human life on Earth for generations, through addressing contributors to climate change, and environmental degradation, while promoting a green, sustainable approach to construction & architecture, and urban planning.
The ARChive journal addresses topics of humanitarian nature, featuring proceedings to conferences that aim to uplift & enrich livability in cities, and ensure a safe and stable life for people around the globe. Resourceedings similarly aggregates conference proceedings from IEREK conferences, however, it encompasses the fields of science, engineering, and technology, and aims to guide humanity to a prosperous future, guided by technological advancement & innovation.
The fourth journal hosted on IEREK Press is BAHETH. Hosted primarily in the Arabic language, the BAHETH journal aims to empower researchers in the middle east and north Africa regions, spreading their academic literature internationally, and promoting knowledge exchange within the region. The BAHETH journal mainly encompasses the topic of architectural development, however, it also deliberates upon sustainable urban development and environmental stability.
ESSD’s Aim & Scope
ESSD is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal that aims to systematically develop the research-driven curiosity and evidence-based discourse of aspiring scholars that seek to contribute to the academic community. As the world is currently living in an age of information where sources are widely available on the Internet, the ESSD journal seeks to efficiently utilize available information to help create robust and evidence-based knowledge. In the process, we offer researchers, in general, and young and aspiring ones in particular a quicker way to get their work published and gain exposure through online open access. We pride ourselves on getting submitted work to be published quickly, through the use of our worldwide pool of subject specialist peer reviewers.

ARChive is IEREK press’ open access journal that aggregates and publishes conference proceedings submitted to IEREK’s international conferences. Dealing primarily with humanitarian topics, ARChive compiles research papers that peer into the impact of technology, urbanism, architecture, culture, and art on human health and livability. Aspiring authors submit their work hoping to lead the world to a more livable place, that prioritizes the well-being of residents around the globe.
Published bi-annually, ARChive prides itself in highlighting crucial topics that concern the stability of human life in cities and nations. The modern era presents various threats that are partly due to the skyrocketing advance of energy consumption and population density. Aiming towards shifting away from the focus on economical & financial gain, the journal analyses trends, and impacts on human well-being, and draws the trajectory towards human improvement.

Resourceedings’ Aim & Scope
Resourceedings is an IEREK press open-access journal that engages in publishing conference proceedings submitted to IEREK’s international conferences. Although similar in procedure to ARChive, Resourceedings specializes in publishing papers that expand upon the fields of science, engineering, and technological advancement rather than humanitarian topics. Resourceedings aims to empower authors around the globe who peer into the future of humanity, continuously pushing the boundaries of technological innovation and benefiting societies and residents.
Resourceedings’ issues are published bi-annually, aggregating conference proceedings that feed into contemporary landscapes of technological understanding. Technological innovation stands to benefit and uplift a multitude of disciplines, and its impact, beneficial or otherwise can be seen and assessed in cities’ development, whether the concept of smart cities or green urbanism is implemented. Resourceedings aims to spread the power of knowledge far and wide, by use of its open-access policy, allowing the public to stay informed about contemporary technological advancements, and the latest in peer-reviewed academic literature.

BAHETH’s Aim & Scope
BAHETH is IEREK press’s most ambitious journal. It aims to place the academic literature in the Middle East & North African region on an international pedestal. Authors can submit their work to the journal in Arabic and English, providing accessibility to both Arabic and English speakers. BAHETH recognizes that Linguistics might be a concept that is regional and local, however, it also affirms that knowledge exchange and enrichment is a global concept, and no scholar or researcher should be confined by their foreign linguistic limitation.
BAHETH’s scope covers a multitude of academic topics, ranging from architecture, urban planning, and urban transit system planning, to heritage preservation, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development. Given that the academic papers submitted are in the Arabic language, BAHETH grants insight to its readers toward a middle eastern & north African perspective on contemporary fields of research and knowledge. The papers published in BAHETH offer a refreshing point of view from the MENA region and look to bring a diverse take on academic discourse concerning various topics.
