The aim of this community is mainly to act as a repository of:

• datasets and documentation pertaining to past versions of the OCTOPUS database; These data have been made obsolete by a newer version of the database but are archived here for versioning purposes and to meet obligations of the DOI system.
• literature (both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed) describing data held in the OCTOPUS database, that is not available in other online repositories; Due to copyright or other restrictions, these materials are restricted or closed access, and are uploaded to Zenodo for archival purposes.
