RadioNet is a consortium of leading institutions in Europe, Republic of Korea and South Africa, integrating at European level world-class infrastructures for research in radio astronomy. RadioNet fosters a sustainable research environment. RadioNet leverages the capabilities of its partners on European scale. RadioNet is a project funded in the framework of the European Horizon 2020 program (Integrating Activities for Advanced Communities). In fact, RadioNet is widely regarded to represent the interests of radio astronomy in Europe.

RadioNet WP7 Joint Research Activity (JRA) Radio Interferometry Next Generation Software (RINGS). The main objective for RINGS is to deliver advanced calibration algorithms for the next generation of radio astronomy facilities, characterized by a high sensitivity, a high bandwidth and long baselines. The functionality delivered by RINGS will be incorporated in the CASA CORE software package. RINGS will enhance a cross fertilization between Radar and Seismic Imaging industry to exchange algorithmic approaches for phase calibration.
